What people are saying:

"I was truly impressed by the variety of workshops available - from bowing techniques, fiddle, jazz, and improv, to playing with a piano accompanist, in small ensembles, and even with a band - there was so much to immerse ourselves in each day! I also appreciated the high calibre of the instructors. The faculty team were so motivating and positive, together you created an inspiring and friendly environment to learn in and try new things. In the course of the four days, as I listened to others and played a lot and in ways I hadn’t played before, I developed a deeper connection with my own instrument, and I am a better violinist as a result. For me personally, having multiple opportunities to perform in front of an audience was a major boon. By the end of the weekend, my performance anxiety was noticeably lower, which freed me to play more mindfully and meaningfully.

"My daughter Ellie learned so much in her 4 days with you. Somehow the learning and progression each day seemed both subtle and momentous. You are an incredible teacher. The joy and effortlessness you bring to music, the deep pocket feels, the fun; the fact that you’re playing at such a high professional level but making it feel approachable to everyone in the room… everyone feels invited. I saw my daughter try new things and have multiple “ah ha” moments as you opened new doors for her. She looped, she improvised, she started to unlock how different scales fit with jazz chords, she developed her listening, and… she felt safe to make mistakes.

Wonderful on all fronts. I feel very inspired and motivated to continue moving myself forward as a string player!
