“To say Yeh is a master is something of an understatement”
– KR, Progressive Rock Pages
Victoria Yeh’s unique style….dynamic and progressive. The violin as it’s rarely seen.
Classically trained, Victoria combines the purity of her musical heritage with the edginess of progressive fusion. She lights up the stage with her infectious energy, her passions and her distinctive style, captivating audiences across the world. International reviewers and critics have compared her sound to the likes of Jean-Luc Ponty, Jerry Goodman (Mahavishnu Orchestra) and Ann Marie Calhoun (Steve Vai).
Yeh performs both acoustically and with her brilliant red electric violin, appearing as both a solo artist, and with her original band, The Spirit Awakens. She’s also a member of jazz-fusion band Paul DeLong’s ONE WORD, Concertmaster for the Northumberland Orchestra & Choir, and performs as a guest soloist (and former Concertmaster) for Toronto’s Summerhill Orchestra. An avid improviser, she’s also performed as a guest alongside such artists as Christian Howes, Rob Tardik, Dave Koz, Pavlo, Tom Barlow and more.
A highly sought-after studio musician
A musical chameleon, Victoria has recorded on countless film, television and music projects in genres ranging from atmospheric avant-garde to hip-hop and electronica; folk and fiddle to ethno-world and rock. She also recently composed and recorded an original score for a soon to be released documentary on the Canadian Boreal forest.
Her latest album, Spirit Awakens, features original music and some of Canada’s most respected musicians. Composed during her year as Artist-in-Residence for the Heliconian Club, the album is suffused with Victoria’s passion for fusion jazz and classical music.

“You angel! I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed your first episode [of Travel by Sound]…I feel like my afternoon concert completely renewed my spirit. Bravo.”

“There were many moments during the concert when I literally felt my spirit soar and wished that the moment could go on forever. Your playing was stellar as always and every member of the band lived up to the standard you set. What a great ensemble! The standouts of the set were your originals – they are moving and inspiring.”

Testimonials
… as a teacher
“I just want to say ‘thank you’ once again for being such a force and promoter for children’s music. Singing Strings has enabled Isabel to begin her love of the violin. She loves your class and she is inspired by you. We feel so fortunate to have your amazing talent and love of the violin be a teacher to Isabel. Thanks again for all you do for the community.”
– Jacqueline S. (Ontario)
“I so appreciate your passion…Summer has hardly touched her violin during COVID, but since joining your program she has come to life again. She used to play daily before the first lock down…but it has been quite silent until the last few weeks…I think/hope she has found the spark again. Thank you!!”
– Denise M. (Ontario)
“I just started playing violin 4 years ago. I just wanted to tell you that you are becoming a major inspiration to me in the world of violin / music…. I’m so inspired. With all this negative stuff going on today, it’s refreshing to hear and watch you play. I just wanted to say thank you.”
– Floyd Boykin Jr. (Missouri)
“While Victoria served as Concertmaster for the Georgian Bay Symphony, she ran exceptional sectionals. Victoria has the ability to hone in on difficult passages and techniques and provide helpful tips to address the problem. She was also very adept at correcting rhythmic difficulties, crucial for ensemble playing. Importantly, she has a very good understanding of the limitations of community vs professional players and inspired us to become better, more confident players.”
Norma Morrison, retiree and community violinist with the Georgian Bay Symphony
